Important Announcement: OpenCart 1.5.4.1 Upgrade

Basico was our first experience with OpenCart: tought it has sold many copies, as developers we always thought it could have been coded in a better way. Several months after its first release and thanks to the skills acquired with , Aldema Studio is proud to announce that Basico is finally available for OpenCart 1.5.4.1 and that the whole template has been designed, the code has been improved (we removed hard code) and many bugs habe been fixed. As in Basico, we limited changes to core files and worked mainly on tpl files.

The new Basico is not compatible with old version of the theme and it is not possible to simply upgrade them to Basico 2.0. You will need a new OpenCart installation. Also, SUPPORT FOR OLD BASICO VERSIONS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Installation

The purpose of this guide to get you up and running with this fine theme you purchased my friend!

Please be sure to backup your Magento installation before beginning this process.

This guide assumes that you have successfully downloaded the Organic Magento theme and have the zip file unzipped. Please make sure that you have a compliant Magento version (Magento CE Version 1.4.1.x, 1.5.x, 1.6.0.0 and 1.6.1.0 !).

STEP 1

Upload the app folder from the theme package to the root directory of your Magento software, using an FTP client.

STEP 2

Upload the skin folder from the theme package to the root directory of your Magento software, using an FTP client.

STEP 3

Go to:
Magento Admin » System » Configuration » Design and enter info in the following fields:
In Themes / Skin (Images / CSS ) write organic
In Themes / Default write organic
In Header / Logo Image Src write images/logo.png
click Save Config

STEP 4

Under Magento Admin » System » Cache Management clear the store cache as well as all cookies for your store domain.
